Sculpting Perceptions
The world of modern technology, characterised by slick and seamless goods is becoming increasingly
disengaged from tactile experiences. This project explores the relationship between physical and digital
textures in interaction design, aiming to bridge this gap.
The project explores how generative
textures
can enhance user experiences in digital environments through texture investigations, programmed
explorations, and prototype creation. The objective is to design meaningful interactions that highlight
the power of touch as a means of communication and involve people across different sensory levels. By
understanding how people perceive these experiences, the project seeks to highlight the importance of
tactile engagement in an increasingly digital landscape.
