Video Setup

After finishing making of my 5 physical objects textures I am left with the filming and setup. Yi Shan, Bryan And I headed around school to see where was the best spot for filming, We decided to help each other out by helping each other film and user test. The difficulty faced was trying to get good lighting and becasue we were filming outside it was warm and humid which makes things more uncomfotable. For my setup, because the sun had already set, I shifted my things indoors into the level 5 classroom to set-p. The disappointing thing was just that there is a light flickering in my videos and the colour isnt the best. But I had to make do with what I have,

Printing and Making Posters

For this round, I decided to print my generative textures as part of my catalogue of making. Initially, during open studios, I was in a rush and printed and bound them in saddle stitch in A4 on paper that was too thick, making it hard to flip. With that in mind, I made some corrections to the layout and decided to size down to A5 but increase the size of the showcased images. I feel this will make the catalogue look neater and much more comfortable to hold. I also went to a fancy paper store to buy Naturalis paper in both 250 gsm and 120 gsm.

For my poster this time, to showcase that touch is the main mode of medium in this interaction design, I created a poster revolving around it. I took pictures of my hand forming the alphabet and then manipulated and edited them in Photoshop. I thought this idea was cute and direct, and I was inspired by a YouTube video. I decided to make it my own and also incorporated close-up images of textures in my posters as a visual representation of texture.

Saying goodbye. Here is my last reflection. Overall, I wished I had been more motivated in chasing my goals. With the idea and concept I feel like I could have produced greater results. But actually, I am decently satisfied with how much I have produced over the past few weeks. My last project as a student, I hope i do continue to practice my p5.js codes and maybe it'l be part of my craft as a designer too. Thank you andreas for everything, it really has been a joy to be part of your class...
